Hey lovely, I’m Roxy.

happy wife, multiple business owner, psychotherapist, travel lover, chocoholic, course junkie, girl geek, sports superfan, book binger, wine worshipper.

Oh – and mum!

Feel like you’re stuck on a washing machine cycle of guilt and pressure?

Trying to balance your business, or find time to create and build it, while doing your absolute best to raise a family?

I’ve SO been in your shoes.

My passion is encouraging, supporting and empowering
busy business mums – just like you.

Back in my corporate career days, I was known as the girl who would ‘get stuff done’. I thrived on late nights, short deadlines and high pressure, surrounded by trailblazing women who talked fast, aimed high and taught me valuable life lessons…

That you can be confident and kind… Glamorous and giving… Career-driven and caring.

And then I became a mum!

Yowch was that a game changer?! It blew everything I knew out of the water.
However, another child on, I realised it was time to put into practice all the things I’d learned – and time to teach them to you.

Whether you want to make a difference doing what you love, create a giant empire, or have a comfortable life while keeping some other humans alive, I will help you get there.

It’s time to forget who the world thinks you should be…
and start being who you want to be.

I’m an award-winning therapist, women’s empowerment advocate, mum on a mission and Pringles addict

I’m an entrepreneur and fully qualified mental health therapist with professional qualifications in clinical hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP, coaching, nutritional therapy and stress management (and a whole heap more). Quite a mouthful right!

Let me give you the back story.

Before building my own business, I had a past life as a corporate sales lady in a very well-known confectionery company (and I got free chocolate!)   I worked in law, media and retail before I became disheartened with the ethics and attitudes.  I then moved into a successful career in the care and medical industry where I worked in hospitals, nursing homes and in the community.

It was tough… but I loved it.

I became aware of the fact that many patients and relatives were unable to access supportive mental health services that they required within a reasonable time frame. This – and the birth of my first son, Charley, in 2014 – inspired me to create Mind Matters Therapies Ltd, an award-winning private practice, helping clients to overcome mental, physical and emotional issues (which I “unofficially” closed in 2019!).

Leaving my career behind, embarking on a journey as an entrepreneur and building a business around my family was both exciting and terrifying! There were glorious highs and emotional lows. I gained so much, but I also had to let go of a great deal… my idea of who I was and my idea of who I ‘should’ be.

My second son, Finn, arrived in February 2017, and with him came the birth of my second business: The High Heels Society!

I loved this business. It perfectly married my “let’s crack on” attitude and allowed me to keep my toes into a corporate field that I thought I wasn’t ready to leave behind.

Somewhere in the midst of this idea I had a humongous realisation that I’m now so far away from a corporate professional woman I can’t explain. It didn’t fit anymore. I didn’t like it anymore. But I absolutely KNEW I wanted to work with business women, and then the proverbial thunderbolt hit me. I actually wanted to work with business mums. I understand you, you see! I get the mental load we carry that even the most wonderful of men like my husband definitely don’t have.

Busy Business Mum was born and I’ve never looked back. I build websites, and teach women exactly how to use the tech that might previously feel unfathomable! I do a LOT of business coaching, mentoring and therapy. The lines blur and merge wonderfully – because, well, that’s life. There are no hard and straight boundaries! I wear what I like and say what I feel needs to be said. I adore my clients and have a lovely, crazily busy life. I absolutely LOVE working for myself.

From here I met Jodie. Jodes is an assertiveness coach and I started working with her on her email marketing. She had the idea of creating a hub, a one-stop shop for women to get all the personal and professional development that they could want – in ONE place, for one bloody cheap price! We created Ladies Life Lounge – and it’s my proudest professional achievement.

Ladies Life Lounge is an online membership club for happy, fulfilled, successful women. We’re turning the notion of “pretty” on its head, and teaching women to be Pretty Confident, Pretty Ambitious, Pretty Calm, Pretty Healthy – Pretty whatever you WANT to be!!

It is an inspiring community of women where rules are broken, traditional role-models are challenged, and lives are changed. A place where you can be exactly who you want to be, learn to leave the guilt at the door and rock being who you are.

Since then, I’ve combined Mind Matters and Busy Business Mum under just my own name – Roxy Rhodes Therapy, Roxy Rhodes Coaching and Roxy Rhodes Design, so it’s easier to manage – and that’s where you are now!

I can’t wait to meet you!

Work With Me

With a 60 minute session for £190 or a 4 session package for £700 we can dig into your existing business, or into your plans and ideas. We can look at your systems and procedures, or your offerings and marketing. It’s completely up to you where you’d like us to focus – but if I notice something that needs taking care of – I’ll be the first to say! Expect some mindset, balance and confidence work along the way – my therapist brain can’t help it!!

When you work with me I work alongside you. I’ll check in to see how you’re doing and make sure you’re clear on what the next step is. I’ll be your cheerleader, ass-kicker and biz bestie! Who doesn’t want that?!

So, you’ve looked at Wix/GoDaddy/other builders and realised they’re DRAINING the life out of you, will never look the way you want and are eating your precious money-making time!! Let’s do this properly!

I can build you a WordPress website & sort out your domain and hosting if you like! A 5-page site is £875 (plus hosting & domain if required (around £10 per month)). I will teach YOU how to use it and how to be in complete control of it so that you know how to update and how to make changes yourself. I really, really advocate all businesses having a site. It shows professionalism, promotes trust and helps you be found more easily.

Therapy is such a weird word for lots of people. Mental health is starting to be viewed as equally important as our physical health – yet it still has a stigma that you must be “weak” if you want to work on your mental health. It’s utter bollocks! The strongest people are the ones who reach out for help when they see space for improvement – before things get too rough.

If you’re considering therapy – just get in touch. I’d want you to chat to me first and make sure you click with me. It’s super important that you trust me and feel that I get you. Sessions are £190 an hour – you’re very welcome to come to me, or we can do it via phone or video call.
